The Moody Broadcasting Network purchased radio stations WXXP-FM and WHUT-AM , in Anderson, IN, from Anderson Radio, G.P. of Anderson, IN. Broadcasting began January 26th 1998.The change in ownership brought the inspirational Christian format of the Moody Broadcasting Network (MBN) to Central Indiana. MBN will use the call-letters WGNR-FM (97.9 FM) and WGNR (1470 AM). Moody Broadcasting has strong regional programming combined with the best of syndicated and network features. The actual program schedule includes syndicated programs like Focus on the Family, Insight for Living and Turning Point, along with MBN network favorites: Music Thru the Night, Open Line and Prime Time America. The stations, like others owned and operated by MBN, is commercial free.
