I know that everyone's dog is special, but our dog was a rescue and he was a bit more special than others. He came in very shy and skittish as he was never socialized and was aboused/neglected. Several months of training at another trainer just didn't have us moving in the right direction. Words can explain how happy we are to have found AlphaK-9 University! Once we spent some time with Keli and the staff at AlphaK9, our dog, George just blossomed. We started with some individual/one on one classes that got both the dog and I on the same page. Without the distractions of a group class we were able to build our bond and build the foundation of trust so that all of our further training was even possible. We have taken a number of classes and accomplished much in last several months. Our dog has completed the Canine Good Citizen Certification, has learned to swim and dock dive and is doing well on the agility equipment. Most importantly, he has gone from a terrified wall flower to a really fun and dynamic part of our family. This hasn't been easy, and the classes are just part of the work that I think good dog owners must put in. The rewards are immense and the folks at Alpha K-9 U make it fun & worthwhile and they are with you all the time making sure that things are moving forward with you and your dog. I can't recommend them highly enough!!!
