Best overall hair salon experience from phone call to schedule to hair results - I had to cast a vote. I have highlighted blonde hair with lots of gold tones (covering gray), shoulder blade length, very curly so hair health a biggie. Prior to Allure, I was driving an hour to fit in appts around my travel schedule to get to a great colorist. Due to scheduling I made an appointment at Allure - needing to find service in a pinch with proximity. The first experience was OUTSTANDING and each visit since has been the same. From the time devoted to the color consultation, to the choice of fountain beverage or hot tea or coffee to enjoy during color product prep and application, to the chocolates offered and attention given to be sure I was comfortable and didn't need more hot tea during color process, to the shampoo experience - which is uniquely freaking incredible, to the cut and style, I was thoroughly, perfectly pleased. And, I am one picky woman. I work hard at my job, am busy with three kids and two dogs and a cat and a great husband. I don't want to have to seek out re-dos or fixes on my hair. I want the color to be spot on because I don't want to look 50 and I want the color to look great whether I go full on curly or straighten my hair. I have had repeated complements on my hair, and my hair color, since my first visit to Allure. The shampoo is out-of-this-world perfect. massage tables are set up in front of each shampoo bowl. The shampoo area is separate and apart from the color bar, the style chairs, the drying area, the shopping/payment area - all designated areas. You walk into low lighting and soft music and lie down on the table. Your shampoo is a full-on head and scalp massage with a brief arm and hand massage to follow. It's great "me" time and such a wonderful addition to the strong technical skills and well-delivered service at this salon. You will not regret the visit; and, their location is right in the very charming village area of Zionsville.
