The Wild Winds Horse Rescue is a new addition to Boone County. The rescue was started as a refuge for 3 horses in December, 2005 by a teenager named Michael Kirkman. To help the horses and community . The kids in the area needed something to help keep them busy and stay out of trouble and off of drugs, so Michael started the horse rescue and ask local kids to volunteer , it is a safe haven for horses and kids.
Anyone that takes in those who cannot speak for themselves deserves my vote!
Horses soar with the eagle in the celebration of our heritage.
